Danny Chapman took charge of the Hawks for his 300th competitive match against Staines Town, joining a select group of former Harlow Town managers.

'Chappo', who made more than 200 appearances in defence for the club, took the reins on 22nd January 2011, stepping up from the role of Assistant Manager when former boss Kevin Warren resigned.

Inheriting a team on a poor run of form, Chapman oversaw a run that would take the Hawks from mid-table to the playoffs in his first season in charge. In his time at the helm, he has led the Hawks to the playoffs on three other occasions, culminating in last season's promotion back to the Ryman Premier Division.

In April 2015 Chapman was appointed Director of Football and he has overseen the growth in the Academy and Youth system to the thriving set-up we have today.

Chapman's record in the 301 games he has taken charge of reads 155 wins, 56 draws and 90 losses; an impressive win ratio of 51.5%.

Having managed over 300 games for the Hawks, that now puts him in the esteemed company of Ian Wolstenholm and Dave Edwards, two legendary Harlow Town managers.

Wolstenholme, undisputedly the most successful manager in our history, took charge of the Hawks for 317 games between 1976 and 1982, but Dave Edwards is way out in front having been in the dugout for 477 games over eight seasons (1985-1994).

Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Danny on reaching this historic milestone.
