Supporters came in their hundreds to support the Harlow Town XI vs Celeb XI charity match, in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Friday night's event, organised by Gracey Dorling in association with Writtle College, and hosted at Harlow Town FC, was an incredible success.

Over 700 people were in attendance, getting behind the two teams to create a wonderful atmosphere, and the initial count has seen over £2000 raised for the incredible work of the GOSH Charity.

A host of celebs turned out for Neil "Razor" Ruddock's team, including Jeff Brazier, Spencer Owen, Darren Luckin, Danny Osborne, Ross Weare, Rob Lamar and Ricky Martin, among others.

Harlow Town boss Danny Chapman managed a who's who of Harlow Town legends. Club record-holding goalscorer Marc Salmon pulled his boots on in a Harlow Town shirt again, and he proved he's still got it, netting twice. He played alongside more recent fan-favourites such as Mario Noto, Ed Thompson, Sam West, Piers Wixon and Craig Pope, while Assistant Manager Spencer Knight and Goalkeeping Coach Huseyin Gozutok were also in the line-up.

Harlow Town came our narrow 5-4 winners over the celebs in the end, but it was an event where the result was insignificant and the charity was the real winner.

We would like to thank everyone who came along to support this event, including the supporters and players from both teams, and we congratulate all those who had a hand in organising the evening.

The JustGiving page for the even will remain open for a short time, and if anyone would like to donate online, you can access it here.
