Hastings is a central defender who can also play in midfield. He will add strength to the Hawks’ defence, who are still searching for a first clean sheet of the season.

He started out at Heybridge Swifts as a youth team player, winning their Young Player of the Year Award in 2012. He went on to make 115 first team appearances for the Swifts before joining Enfield Town in the summer of 2014.

He joined Leiston in the summer of 2016, before a loan spell at Stowmarket Town and then a move to Wroxham followed. He spent the 2017-18 season with Felixstowe & Walton United, where he also started this season.
