Harlow Town are pleased to announce the signing of attacking midfielder Xavier Vidal.

Vidal has featured for the Hawks during pre-season, and after impressive performances Harlow Town boss Danny Chapman has signed him for the upcoming season.

He came through the ranks of the Dulwich Hamlet youth system where he successfully broke into the first team. With a number of assists and goals to his name, including the crucial strike that clinched the Ryman South title for Hamlet in 2013, he attracted interest from Football League sides when he had trials at clubs such as Birmingham, Huddersfield, Bolton, Brentford, Norwich and Oxford.

He was unable to secure a deal, but eventually stepped up to the top level of non-league football, signing for Vanarama National League side Welling United.

Following their relegation last summer he signed for Merstham, and he was named as one of eight non-league prospects to watch by football magazine FourFourTwo in January 2017.

We would like to welcome Xavier to the club, and we look forward to him turning out for the Hawks.

Vidal will be available for selection at this Saturday's Cheshunt Community Cup competition.
