Harlow Town FC have today announced that Prolific Striker Alex Read has signed for another season at The Harlow Arena.

Read scored 32 league goals for The Hawks last season and claimed the Ryman North Golden Boot for a second season in a row and is looking to achieve that again in the coming season.

Manager Danny Chapman was also delighted that talented left back Layne Eadie has also re signed for the season, he is determined to clinch the league title and promotion for The Hawks this season.

Supporters Player of the season and Captain David Cowley also signed forms also determined to gain promotion with The Hawks.

Last seasons Players player of the Season Fabion Simms has also returned to the Hawks, another excellent signing for Chapman.

The experienced Craig Pope put pen to paper along with centre half Marc Gorbell to complete the first signings of returning players.

There was one completely new signing for Danny Chapman on Tuesday night and that was completing the signing of Ryan Melaugh. The 21 year old left winger was at Billericay Town last season. He signed a two year professional contract at Colchester United before his move to Bishops Stortford. Ryan is a hardworking, pacy, wide man with good feet and a great left foot.

We would like to welcome everyone to The Harlow Arena and wish them all a successful season.

Departing the Hawks from last season are the following players: Joshua Urquhart (Wealdstone), Ben Glasgow (Thurrock), Shane Stamp (Billericay Town), Andy Walker (Thamesmead Town), Billy Jones (Cheshunt) and Jamie Guy. We would like to thank all these players for their service to the club and wish them all the very best for the future.
