Hawks boss Danny Chapman faces a defensive headache on the eve of the new season ahead of the trip to Harrow Borough on Saturday.

Centre-back Ibrahima Sonko suffered a knee injury in the final pre-season friendly, and he will be out of action as he awaits a scan to asses the damage. Utility player Robbie Martin also suffered an injury against Aveley and will be ruled out for 2-3 weeks.

The Hawks will also be without captain Craig Pope, who carries a three game suspension over from the end of last season.

In more positive news, Jack Wilkinson has trained since recovering from injury and will be available for selection, while Charlie Dickens has recovered from a dead leg and will also be in contention to start.

The Hawks travel to Harrow Borough for the Bostilk League curtain-raiser . Kick off is at 3pm on Saturday 12th August.
