After nine months and 45 league games, the race for the title has come down to the final game of the season.

Last weekend’s 2-2 away draw against league-leaders Needham Market means that the Suffolk club are still in the driving seat, however the Hawks can still win the league if results go the right way.

Needham Market have 101 points from 45 games, with the Hawks in second just one point behind. While Harlow host Thamesmead, Needham Market have to travel to Kent to take on Chatham Town. A win is vital for the Hawks, and if Harlow can take the three points and Needham either draw or lose against Chatham, the title will go to the Hawks.

A draw for Needham means that Harlow must win, and if Needham beat Chatham then they will be crowned champions regardless of the Harlow result.

In terms of current form, Harlow have four wins, a draw and a loss from the last six games, returning 13 points from a possible 18. Thamesmead have three wins, a draw and two losses in the same period, taking 10 points.

When the two sides met earlier this season, Thamesmead inflicted a 3-2 defeat on the Hawks. Harlow had been two goals up and cruising, before the hosts scored three goals in the last 20 minutes.

Looking forward to the Chatham Town vs Needham Market game, Chatham have pulled themselves clear of the relegation zone and although they are not quite mathematically safe from the drop, it would take four results and a goal difference swing of 21 goals to go against them to see them finish the day in the bottom three.

Chatham have won two, drawn one, and lost three of their last 6 games, while Needham have won two, drawn three and lost one.

Whatever the results, it’s bound to be a drama-filled day with lots of twists and turns throughout the afternoon.

We’re expecting a bumper crowd, and the club will be opening at midday. Both the upstairs and downstairs bars will be open, and the Southampton vs Tottenham Premier League game will be on TV from 12:30pm. Hot and cold food and drinks will also be available from midday.

Kick off is at 3:00pm, on Saturday 25th April 2015.
