Harlow Town host Ware FC on Boxing Day, in a Ryman League Division One North match.

It brings to an end a run of four consecutive away games and is the first home game since 6th December.

The Hawks’ last outing was away at Cray, where despite dominating the opening period of the game, Harlow let a two-goal lead slip to draw the game.

Harlow will go into this game second in the table, three points behind Needham Market who topped the table at Christmas. The 26 games so far have seen 58 points returned, an average of 2.2 points per game.

The Hawks have seen their form falter recently, not helped by several away trips, and they have won two, drawn two and lost two of the last 6 games, gaining 8 points from a possible 18.

Conversely, Ware have hit a good patch of form, and have taken 11 points from 6 games – three wins, two draws and a loss. These results include a win over Needham, so the Hertfordshire side will certainly pose a threat.

Ware are in 6th with 42 points from 25 games, just outside the playoff places on goal difference. They will go into the game on Boxing Day relatively fresh as their game at home to Tilbury was postponed at the weekend. Interestingly, the last game they played was a draw against Cray, the same as Harlow.

Remember that kick off is at the earlier than usual time of 1:00pm, on Friday 26th December.
