The Hawks travel to Maldon to face Maldon & Tiptree FC in a Ryman League Division One North match.

When the two sides went head-to-head back in December, Harlow came away with the three points in a 2-1 win. It was that result that kick-started the record-breaking winning run for the Hawks, and they now need to string more victories together to keep up the pressure on second-placed Thurrock.

Maldon & Tiptree have proven to be a difficult to beat in recent months, and since the defeat to Harlow, they have only lost one other game – at home to league-leaders AFC Sudbury.

In Harlow’s last outing, a 0-1 defeat to Brightlingsea Regent effectively ended any lingering hopes of a last gasp dash for the title. Finishing as high as possible in the playoff places is the aim, and with nine games left to play, the Hawks need to get back to winning ways.

Harlow are currently third in the table, with 76 points from 37 games. That puts the Hawks seven points behind Thurrock and 16 behind Sudbury, but with two games in hand on both.

Maldon & Tiptree still have an outside chance of making the playoffs. They sit in 11th with 61 points, 11 points behind 5th placed Hornchurch.

Harlow’s two defeats in the last three games have seen them drop to 7th in the form table. With three wins, a draw and two losses, they have returned 10 points from a possible 18. Maldon & Tiptree have the third best form in the league, with four wins and two draws in the same period.

Kick off is at 3:00pm, on Saturday 19th March 2016.
