The Hawks travel to Thurrock to play Romford in a Ryman League Division One North match.

This will be the third attempt to play the game after the previous two were thwarted by bad weather, but with the forecast looking clear this time it should go ahead.

Harlow will be looking to get back to winning ways after a slump in form. Last Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Maldon & Tiptree means that the Hawks have won two, drawn two, and lost two of their last six outings, returning 8 points from a possible 18. This has seen them slip to 11th in the form table.

Romford have been struggling all season, hovering above the drop-zone for most of the year. They have won one, drawn two and lost three of their previous six matches, with their only three wins in 2016 coming against fellow strugglers Redbridge, Heybridge Swifts and Barkingside.

Harlow won’t take the game lightly though, as the return fixture at the start of the season finished 1-1, despite Harlow controlling much of the game.

The Hawks have slipped to 4th in the league table, level on 77 points with Cray Wanderers but with an inferior goal difference. Thurrock are six ahead on 83 points, and with this game representing one of two games-in-hand, Harlow need the three points to claw back the gap.

Romford however, are also in need of maximum points. They are 20th in the table, three points above of the relegation zone. This is also a game in hand for them, so they will be keen to open up some breathing room on the teams below.

Harlow left-back Layne Eadie will be a doubt after limping off midway through the game last weekend.
