Hawks goalkeeper James (Percy) May was today awarded the Ryman Division One North Precision Goalkeeping ‘Golden Gloves’ Award for January.

Hawks keeper May returned to The Harlow Arena in July from Ryman North rivals Maldon & Tiptree.
Following the departure of Harlow’s former number one stopper Darren Behcet at the end of 2013 to Cray Wanderers, the 26-year-old certainly grabbed his chance to make the shirt his own and win the Ryman North accolade. Beaten just once in January, his form provided the platform for his team to go on and win all five of their league outings.

The Ryman League’s ‘safe hands’ accolade returned in September with new sponsors from Nottingham-based Reydon Sports PLC - the UK's largest sports and leisure wholesale and distribution company. Thanks to their Precision Goalkeeping brand, James will receive a Golden Glove Award and a pair of Precision Goalkeeping gloves as his prize.

Congratulations Percy.
