Hawks boss Danny Chapman has urged his side to improve their defending following Tuesday's 2-2 draw at Hendon in the Ryman Premier Division.

Harlow Town had taken a lead into half-time courtesy of Kieran Bishop's acrobatic finish, but a lack of concentration allowed the hosts to score an early equaliser.

The Londoners then went in front and led until being reduced to ten men with seven minutes left.

Harlow sub Leon Antoine then popped up with an equaliser as the visitors' pressure finally told.

Chapman said: "First half we came in 1-0 and people would say that's good away from home. They had more possession than us, but that was all.

"At half-time we said we should up our tempo and we were too deep as a side. Then we conceded two poor goals. We spoke at half-time about when they are getting close to goal we are not shutting them down and we are letting them get their shots off. That was disappointing.

"The second goal, you could say it's a good goal but it's really poor defending. I think them having a man sent off lifted us and demoralised them a little bit, we were on top at that point and deserved the equaliser.

"We have had chance to nick it at the end. I suppose a draw on the night is a fair result. It's individual mistakes, we have been punished we have got to learn we can't make mistakes the way we are at the moment and conceding goals.

"We got a point away from home and that's always good. We are unbeaten in four league games. We are sitting okay at the moment. If you offered me a point I would have taken it."

Harlow are unbeaten in four league games although they had lost their previous two matches, both in cup competitions.
