Hawks manager Danny Chapman revealed tonight that striker Alex Read could return to action before the end of the season.

Read saw a specialist in London today and had his cast removed and replaced by a boot. The X-Ray also showed that initial reports of ligament damage were unfounded. This was excellent news for the league's current top scorer. The striker now must work on getting the ankle moving again and work towards a return to action.

Defender Sam Holloway is now walking on a treadmill after he broke his leg at Thurrock, but looks unlikely to play again this season.

The Hawks are back in action on Saturday when Brightlingsea Regent come to the Harlow Arena. Manager Danny Chapman will be without the suspended Craig Pope and Fabion Simms in unavailable, while Warren Goodhind is fighting to be fit after picking up an injury last week at Dereham Town.
