Yuill is a young defender who can play at right-back, centre-back or in midfield. He came through the youth system at West Ham United before signing for Birmingham City at under 16 level. He has also represented Scotland at youth level.

Upon his release from Birmingham, he signed for Chelmsford City, and subsequently had spells with Bowers and Pitsea, Ware and Tonbridge Angels.
