A strong Haringey squad saw of a lacklustre Hawks side who never realy got started. A very even first half saw the teams go in at half time goalless. The second half saw multiple changes for both sides, but it was the home side who took the lead on 68 minutes through their custodian striker Darrell Cox. The Hawks looked for an equaliser and the nearest they came was when Stan Muguo had a shot deflected narrowly wide, Borough finished the stronger of the two teams, going close twice more, but the score line did not change and Haringay battled well to earn their victory.
