Khale da Costa finished off a good counter-attacking move from the Hawks to take the lead mid-way through the second half, before Leon Antoine’s header a minute from time sealed the win.
Harrow Borough started the game with a very high tempo, and were on top for the first 20 minutes. Joshua Webb and Harry Newman both set down a marker for the visitors with shots from distance early on, but they went high and wide.
David Hughes was then called upon to deny Harrow. Harry Newman’s counter-attack down the left made space for him to cross. Ibraham Meite was inside the six yard box and back-heeled towards goal, but a good reaction save from the Harlow stopper kept it out.
Harrow ‘keeper Thomas Williams almost gifted the hosts a goal. He rushed out of his area to clear a through-ball, but sliced clearance fell to Stanley Muguo. Before the midfielder could release a shot he was surrounded by defenders, allowing Williams time to scamper back onto the goal-line.
The Hawks began to adjust to the pace and create chances of their own. Jared Small broke through the defence and cut back inside, but his effort sailed over the crossbar.
Small then had another good opportunity, when Ibrahima Sonko’s long throw into the box fell at his feet, but a desperate block a yard from goal cleared the danger.
Harrow’s Lewis Driver, who was a handful all game, had another good chance to put his side ahead. Michael Bryan cut the defence with a perfectly weighted ball, but Driver could only put the shot into the side netting.

Hawks boss Danny Chapman made a change at half time in what proved to be a great decision. Mario Noto replaced Bamba Ngamb, with Leon Antoine pushing forwards into the striker role. Noto began to pull the strings from midfield as Harlow upped their game in the second period.
Mario Noto sent Jared Small behind the Harrow defence, but under pressure he couldn’t keep the shot down
Harlow took the lead after 59 minutes. A good end-to-end counter-attack saw Layne Eadie and Jared Small play a neat one-two, releasing the left-back into the channel. Eadie’s low cross was well met by Khale da Costa, sliding in to put the ball in the back of the net.
Harrow were still threatening with some bright substitutions, but Ibrahima Sonko and Lawrence Yiga were comfortable snuffing out the majority of attacks before the visitors could get a sight of goal.
David Hughes was still called upon from set-pieces though. Harrow’s Michael Peacock’s header from a corner was heading towards goal, but Hughes scrambled across the goal-line to save well.
A Harrow free kick was then cleared to substitute Michael Barima 25 yards out, but Hughes was equal to the driven shot, diving to his right to keep it out.
With only a minute of normal time remaining, Harlow inflicted the killer blow with another well-worked team goal. Layne Eadie stole the ball in his own half before playing out to Mario Noto. A delightful first touch ball from Noto into the channel released Joe Benjamin, who beat the Harrow right-back before putting a cross into the box. Leon Antoine headed home the cross, securing another win for the Hawks.
