Dorking Wanderers twice came from behind to earn a point against a resurgent Harlow Town.

Jared Small put the hosts ahead with a well-taken individual goal, before Guiseppe Sole finished off a swift counter-attack to draw level.

Reece Dobson’s neat flick from close range put the Hawks in front again, before Solomon Pinnock’s finish for the visitors shared the points.

With less than 15 minutes played Jared Small drove forward to create space for the shot, and his low effort crept inside the near post to settle the nerves.

Dorking Wanderers looked dangerous on the counter-attack, and their first shot at goal came from a quick move up the field. Tom Tolfrey broke through and opted to shoot instead of pass, but it was parried away by Ashlee Jones.

Fabion Simms sent a left-footed shot at goal, but it was collected easily, before he sent a header from a corner over the bar.

The visitors equalised on 33 minutes. And end-to-end counter-attack allowed Tom Summerfield to cross from the right, and no-one had picked up Guiseppe Sole in the middle who side-footed in.

Fabion Simms had another effort on goal when a poor clearance fell to him on the edge of the area, but he couldn’t keep the half-volley down.

With half-time looming Dan Pearse found himself in a good position in the box for the Wanderers, but he dragged the shot wide as the teams went into the break on level terms.

HT: Harlow Town 1-1 Dorking Wanderers

Harlow Town came out firing in the second half. Andrea Mayasi’s shot from the edge of the area was parried away by the Dorking stopper, but it careered into James Baker at such a pace that the Hawks defender didn’t have time to direct it goalwards and it trickled wide.

Another shot from Mayasi was then tipped around the post, before Nigel Neita drilled an effort over from 12 yards out.

The Hawks had been pushing for another goal and it duly came on 69 minutes. A corner was cleared only as far as Jared Small, who played the ball out wide to Syrus Gordon. His low cross was turned in by Reece Dobson who flicked past the goalkeeper with a well-taken finish.

Harlow didn’t ease the pressure on the visitors. Nigel Neita saw a powerful shot blocked by David Ray, and then Reece Dobson sent a free kick flying just over the bar from a tight angle.

With 15 minutes left to play, Dorking hit the hosts with a sucker-punch. With another counter-attack, Tom Tolfrey’s inch-perfect cross found Solomon Pinnock open in the middle who turned home.

The visitors could have stolen all three points late on when a cross deflected into the path of Tolfrey, but he blasted an effort over the bar from the edge of the area to waste a good opportunity and ensure the spoils were shared.
