Harlow cruised past Barkingside 8-3 as they built on their positive result on the weekend. Goals from Akande, Stamp, Read (2), Dadson (2), Martin and Mckenzie saw off a disappointing Barkingside.

Harlow started the game brightly as they looked a threat from both wings with the blistering pace of Shane Stamp and Junior Dadson. Early pressure from the Hawks payed off, a corner from Jordan Fowler met the on rushing Micheal Akande who powered home after nine minutes.

But against the run of play Barkingside won a penalty. A tackle from Christian Wheeler was made in the penalty area but as Wheeler tried to get to his feet he was deemed to have handballed and the Referee Mr S Bates gave the penalty. Paul Kvanagh stroked home past the helpless Knowles. 1-1.

The game was wide open as both sides were having chances. The best for Harlow was when the brilliant Junior Dadson beat two players and delivered a great cross to Alex read but his header was saved well. However a corner from Barkingside found the head of striker Sebehoe who hit the post.

Harlow again took the lead when a goalmouth scramble was eventually turned in by Shane Stamp on 35 minutes to make it 2-1 to the Hawks.

Harlow soon extended their lead, three minutes later a through ball by Antione put Alex Read one-on-one with Goalkeeper MulRooney and Read finished exquisitely to put the Hawks in command going in at Half Time 3-1.

The Hawks got off to the best possible start to the second half. Alex Read's thundering shot was well saved by MulRooney by his save fell to Dadson who buried the ball into the back of the net to make it 4-1.48thminute

Barkingside then upped their play as chances from Andy Edmunds and Reece Cosson went close. But Barkingside did score as full back Mark Doyle made a good run and finished well to put some pressure back on Harlow. 4-2.62 minutes

However, Harlows best move of the match resulted in a goal as fantastic one touch passing from Harlow midfielders Shaun Gliddon, Jordan Fowler and with the killer pass from Martin, put Dadson through and dinked the ball over the Barkingside keeper.5-2. 68min

Harlow were not finished there as Alex Read also got his second of the game from a fine finish just inside the 18 yard box on 71 minute mark to put the Hawks 6-2 up.

Substitute Robbie Martin also contributed a goal as hard work from the Harlow frontmen pressured Barkingside defender Brian Suchley to make a mistake and Martin was there to calmly tuck in on 74 minutes.

Barkingside never gave up as this time Robbie Martin's back pass wasn't good enough and eventually Andy Edmunds scored. 84 minutes.

And to seal a Fantastic night for Danny Chapman's side a fantastic goal was scored by substitute Mckenzie who's 1st effort was blocked but his second try flew into the back of the net from 25 yards.
