Harlow let 3-0 slip to rivals Abbey

It was a slow start to the game with both teams struggling to create any clear cut chances. Waltham Abbey had the more dominant start and had the first real chance when a corner cleared to the edge of the box fell to ex Hawks player James Peagram whose shot curled just wide.

But the Hawks were feeling their way into the game with good possession play and Harlow finally got their chance. A poor back pass from Matt Bedford was chased by Dadson and he took the ball round the keeper and stroked the ball in on 15 minutes.1-0.

Abbey reacted well and nearly got a equaliser when a long ball from Abbey was chased by Peagram who raced on and got one on one with keeper James May but his shot was straight at May.

Harlow then built up some momentum. Harlow won a free kick near the corner flag, and Shaun Gliddon delivered a fantastic cross which found Alex Read whose header was tapped onto the post by keeper Jake Whitcup. But from the following corner Daniel Brown got on the end of an excellent delivery from Robbie Martin and the ball fired into the net.2-0.

Harlow then extended their lead. A good knock on from Leon Antoine put Alex Read through on goal and lobbed the on rushing keeper for a exquisite finish. Harlow were cruising. 3-0. 32 minutes gone.

But the comeback was on as James Peagram's cross metthe head of Darelle Russell and into the corner of the net. 3-1. 38 minutes.

Abbey then got another goal. Joe Pearman eased past two defenders and went through on goal and slotted home. 39 minutes. 3-2

Harlow could have re-gained their two goal lead when Junior Dadson put Read through on goal but couldn't capitalise.

Abbey punished Harlow and equalised through Ayrton Coley. Waltham Abbey counter attacked from a Harlow corner and Coley got the ball from outside his own box and ran all way to Harlow's goal and slid the ball in.3-3 all before half time.

Waltham Abbey came out with the momentum on their side. And soon completed the comeback as a Free kick taken by Daveney found Sargent who squeezed in from close.

Harlow were from there on dominant throughout the game have so much possession but failing to make it count as they didn't make their chances count.

Harlow's best chance came from Chinedu Mckenzie. A fantastic cross field pass from Daniel Brown found Mckenzie who done well to take it round the keeper but was unable to squeeze the ball in from the tight angle.

Harlow were unable to create any more chances to equalise.
