Layne Eadie came in for Aaron Greene and Chinedu Mckenzie, former Harlow player started for Forest.
Harlow got off to the perfect start. Shane Stamp weaved past a couple of Forest players before being fouled. Robbie Martin curled the freekick right in the top corner on 3 minutes.
After the goal, it sparked a flurry of opportunities for both sides. Fisher went close for Forest with a curling freekick being well saved by Darren Behcet. Also Mckenzie nearly got one back but again Behcet was on hand to stop the former hawks player. Harlows good chances came to Leon Antoine. A freekick from another Martin was met powerfully by Antoine by headed straight to the keeper. Minutes later Layne Eadie's cross was perfect for Antoine but this time headed wide.
Antoine was later substituted due to an injury and was replaced by Junior Dadson in the closing stages of the first half.
Shane Stamp has been in fine form recently and was at his best again today as he caused numerous problems for Waltham Forrest. A fantastic Darren Blewitt Pass to Stamp whose shot was well saved by David Myers.
The final chance went to Harlow. Fantastic skill from Smith to bring the ball down under control laid off Sub Dadson whose shot was pushed away by the keeper.
Half Time and Harlow should have been three or four up however, Waltham Forrest were looking a better team that had only sealed two wins this season.
The second half got underway the same way the first half did. An early second half goal settled any nerves that were present. It was a good counter attacking move from Harlow and resulted in a fine finish. Alex Read slipped through James Smith who kept his composure and slotted home to put Harlow 2-0 up on 49 minutes.
Forest then had a good ten minute spell with Mckenzie, Scott and Menga all having good chances to get back into the game. But the biggest chance Forest had was with Oyewale whose cracking effort was fantastically saved by Darren Behcet.
However moments later, Harlow were awarded a penalty. Shane stamp fantastically got past his man and then brought down by on rushing defender. Daniel Brown stepped up to the spot and smashed in the bottom left corner on 68 minutes.
And to round of a very satisfying result Shane Stamp sealed all 3 points with a fantastic finish. Smith took on two players and set Shane Stamp to sweep away a fantastic move on the 69th minute.
Overall a fantastic performance from Harlow. Very Disciplined and very organised was the key to todays win. The only negative aspects of todays game was the injuries to Striker Leon Antoine and Centre Back Darren Blewitt.
