Harlow eased past Brentwood Town 5-1 in an entertaining game for Harlow fans. Goals from Dadson, Glowacki, George Smith and a double for Alex Read. Brentwood got their consolation goal from Tony Martin.

The visitors came out bright as they looked to get a positive result at The Harlow Arena as not many teams come away with anything. Brentwood looked to counter attack and to use set pieces to their advantage but failed to create any chances to worry keeper James May.

Shane Stamp was forced off with injury and was replaced by Junior Dadson who made an immediate impact. Dadson had two great chances. His first chance was a stunning shot from 20 yards that was going into the corner but was well saved by keeper Marrable. Dadsons' second chance was created by Leon Antoine as he teed Dadson up but he skied his shot.

However it was three times lucky for Dadson as he finally got on the score sheet. Dadson cut inside and curled a low shot past the Brentwood keeper and into the back of the net on 28 minutes.

Moments later it was 2-0. Harlow won a freekick just outside the area and Alex Read immediately put the ball down and wanted to take it. He stepped up and he beautifully curled it around the wall and into the corner on the half hour mark.

Harlow were playing with more freedom and were playing with confidence. Brentwood didn't have their first real chance until the 40th minute. Martin Tuohy cut inside and struck a curling shot that whisked just over the crossbar.

But as the half was drawing to a close, the best goal of the afternoon came on the 45th minute. John Glowacki picked up the ball from 30 yards and smashed it with his left foot and the ball swung straight into the top left hand corner. His first goal for the club and one he will remember.

At the Half time break, Brentwood made three changes and this was a sign that Brentwood had not let this game go away from them. Brentwood looked a lot more stable at the back and more of a threat going forward so Harlow had to be wary of the counter attack.

However the game was surely put too bed when George Smith grabbed the fourth goal on the 72nd minute. A free kick was cleared only to George smith who volley in from 18 yards out. Smith now has two goals in two games as he also scored a great goal against Kingstonian.

Brentwood did respond well and went close twice through Tony Martin but May was on hand to deny him.

Alex Read made it 5-0 on the 82nd minute. A great cross from substitute Ben Hart was turned in by Alex Read as he adjusted his body to nod home his second of the day.

The only negative for Harlow was that they could not keep their second consecutive league clean sheet as Tony Martin scored a fortunate goal as he raced through on goal, produced a save from May but the ball cannoned back off Martin and into the back of the net on 85th minute.

HARLOW: May, Williams, Eadie, McLeod-Urquhart, Glowacki, Blewitt (c), Smith(Hart), Muguo, Read, Antoine(O'Donoghue), Stamp(Dadson)
