Danny Chapman's side served up a Five star performance at Burnham Ramblers on Tuesday night, coming away with a deserved 5-2 victory.

The first half saw a Hawks master class, Alex Read gave the visitors a perfect start with just one minute on the clock, Read chested a ball down to James Smith who beat two players and sent a sublime pass through to Read who slotted home from 18 yards. But there lead was short lived when Ramblers striker Dan Williams was put through on goal and slid his shot passed the advancing Hawks goalkeeper Luke McGee whom was making his debut for The Hawks.
But from that moment on Chapman's men laid siege too the Ramblers goal, on Seven minutes a Shane Stamp corner was half cleared to James Smith who's shot just whizzed passed the back post. Two minutes later Junior Dadson raced down the wing and crossed deep to the back post where the incoming Stamp shot just wide. But on 10 minutes the Hawks regained the lead, Stan Muguo sent a wonderful cross field pass to Dadson who was again racing down the touchline and sent over a low cross to Read who stroked home from six yards. Three minutes later The Hawks made it 3-1 Stamp picked up a loose ball in the middle of the park and released Dadson with a delightful through ball, Dadson picked his spot as Ramblers goalkeeper Louis Goodwin Green came out of his goal. Billy Hunt nearly pulled a goal back on 23 minutes but his fierce shot went just wide. James Smith then hit a shot from 25 yards which was tipped around the post by Goodwin Green. The Hawks kept the pressure on right up to half time with both Leon Antoine and Read going close.

The Second half started as the first finished with The Hawks in the ascendency, Goodwin Green saved low down from a Smith shot and after good work by Smith and Dadson, Read could not grab his Hat-trick as he blazed over. But Ramblers pulled a goal back on 66 minutes through Billy Hunt, he took the ball down on his chest, swivelled and shot into the far corner from about 10 yards out. Alex Read then completed his Hat-trick and was also his 40th goal in all competitions this season, Dadson had the ball down the right flank, he pulled the ball back to Johnathon Glowacki who chipped a cross to the back post for Read to nod home and restore a two goal advantage. Junir Dadson then sealed the five star performance taping in from close range after good work from James Smith.
