Harlow win to continue promotion push!

Danny Chapman made several changes to his squad. Knowles, Martin and Antoine all came back into action for the reds. Usually at the Harlow Arena there is always a fast pace tempo start. But today it was a slow start for both teams.

Chatham were the most likely to open the scoring and they nearly did 15 minutes into the first half. A slick passing move from the Chatham midfield resulted in a Yosuff racing through on goal but only rattling the crossbar.
Harlow didn't learn from their mistakes and Chatham went close again. Alfie May curls a shot towards the bottom left hand corner but Daniel Knowles was equal to it.

Harlow were struggling to find their feet in the game but got the breakthrough they needed on 37 minutes. An awful clearance from keeper Jack Bradshaw allowed Dadson to control and fire into an empty net from 20 yards. the goal had came against the run of play and Chatham must have been feeling hard done by not to be level going into the second half.

The second half began with Chatham having more possession as they tried looking for an equaliser, and they nearly got what they deserved. A cross came flying in from the right and Brad Potter rose highest but his effort struck the post.

Chatham were completely dominant in the opening stages of the second half and were creating chances galore but many failing to test the Harlow keeper. They did force Knowles to pull off a remarkable save from Hales. A sweetly struck effort was bound for goal but Knowles made sure he still had his clean sheet in sight.

Chatham were piling the pressure on but couldn't get a breakthrough. After all there effort of trying to equalise it was Harlow who countered and got the game deciding goal. An fantastic pass from James Smith put Alex Read through on goal and he superbly tucked home on the 85th minute.
