Waltham Forest took the lead on 33 minutes through Pascal-Johnson, after early pressure from the Hawks, which saw headers from both Junior Dadson and Alex Read going close. Luke McGee produced two outstanding saves to keep The Hawks in the game, one being a full stretch tip round the post. A major blow for Danny Chapman happened bang on half-time when Joshua Urquhart landed awkwardly after an aerial challenge, on landing he dislocated his shoulder, but great work from Hawks physio Paul West-Hook as he managed to click it back into place, but Shaun Curley replaced him for the second half.
The second half was dominated by Harlow with possession but the final ball was missing on more than one occasion, but having said that Waltham Forest defended really well and frustrated the Harlow forwards. Forest were trying to hit Harlow on the break as The Hawks pushed for an equaliser, but when they breached the defence the assistant was puling play back for offside. Forest hit the outside of the post with a free-kick and Harlow's best chance fell to substitute Chinedu McKenzie, his half volley flew just over the bar and Darren Blewitt had a half chance after a scramble in the box but his shot whizzed passed the post.
A disappointing day at the office but credit to a spirited Waltham Forest side who worked very hard to earn a valuable 3 points in there fight for survival.
