With The Hawks already guaranteed a spot in the play offs Chapman decided to change things around, but also knew that a win at The Brentwood Arena could gain them third spot.
The first half was a typical end of season affair with not much happening, Junior Dadson coming the closest to score on 9 minutes when Leon Antoine set him free down the right wing, he then cut inside but Brentwood Goalkeeper and Ex-Hawk Dean Neil kept his shot out.
But on 30 minutes a corner from the right found the head of Antoine who headed down for Chinedu McKenzie to score from 2 yards.
The second half was dominated by Harlow and Neil had to be in top form to keep the score line down, he denied both McKenzie and Antoine in the opening 10 minutes of the 2nd half, then on 68 minutes Dadson was brought down in the the penalty area and referee Mr Maskell had no option but to point to the spot. George Smith took the kick and chipped the ball with the outside of his left foot straight down the middle, to make it 2-0.
There was still time for Neil to deny Antoine with a good save and James Smith rattled the post with a 25 yard free-kick.
The Hawks now travel to Heybridge Swifts on Tuesday night for the play off Semi-Final.
