Harlow took the early initiative with on form frontman Alex Read going close from inside the six yard box, but only to see his shot well blocked on the line and scrambled to safety. Read looked dangerous again midway through the first half as he played a great ball across goal to Junior Dadson but the pacey winger was unable to turn his shot the right side of the post. Harlow definitely looked to have grabbed the early impetus and looked set to score again just after the half hour mark. Midfielder Danny Brown was floating on the edge of the box as a Robbie Martin corner found its way to him and Brown unleashed a fierceful shot which was well turned round the post by Leatherhead goalkeeper Deren Ibrahim. Minutes later the home side took the lead, albeit totally against the run of play. A cross from dangerous frontman Tom Bradbrook found its way to Kevin Terry who unleashed a powerful volley from 20 yards that left Harlow keeper Darren Blehcet rooted to the spot. Four minutes later and striker Bradbrook was on the scoresheet himself. After a defensive mix up, Bradbrook found himself unmarked at this far post and nodded home from close range.
Harlow didn't let the scoreline get the better of them and again grabbed the upper hand in terms of possession early in the second half. It took little over 15 minutes for Harlow to have the ball in the net, Alex Read again providing the perfect cross for Dadson who poked home but was adjudged to have been offside. It took until the 78th minute until another goal was scored, with Terry again scoring after finding himself at the back post unmarked. Read nearly scored shortly after but his powerful half volley was turned behind by Leatherhead's powerful centre half Lee Pleau. Four minutes from time and it was all over. Adam Burchell ran onto a loose ball and fired under the flailing hand of Blechet.
