A Junior Dadson brace secured the win in a game that the Hawks controlled from start to finish.

Dadson took the lead for Harlow with a close range finish, before a header from Ibrahima Sonko put the hosts two up early in the second half.

Ware scored a consolation goal against the run of play, but Dadson got his second immediately after to put the game to bed and see the Hawks through to the next round against Ryman Premier side Merstham.

Ware came to the Harlow Arena in good form, but it was Harlow that were well on top from the kick off. Lewis Perkins and Ryan Melaugh were back into the starting line-up, and the Hawks passed the ball around well, probing at the visiting defence.

Alex Read went close after pouncing on a mistake from Benjamin Crilley, but he saw his shot fly over the cross bar. Fabion Simms then hit the post after he jinked into the box, before Ryan Melaugh’s 20 yard strike drew a good save from Ware stopper Jack Smith.

On 23 minutes the Hawks went ahead. Lewis Perkins sent a delightful inswinging ball into the danger area. Junior Dadson’s initial volley was saved well, but he smashed home the follow-up.

Read and Perkins once again forced Smith into good saves, and the ‘keeper was doing a sterling job of keeping the scorline down.

Ware mustered their first shot on the half-hour mark. Rod Young, the visitors’ most creative player on the day, cut in from the left, but Niklas Freund swiped away the shot.

HT: Harlow Town 1-0 Ware

Harlow continued to dictate the game during the second half, and a deserved second goal came soon after the break. Lewis Perkins’ corner was header in by Ibrahima Sonko at the near post.

The Harlow midfield were controlling the game, Fabion Simms and Syrus Gordon content in possession, and Ware we just unable to retain the ball.

However, the next goal went the way of the visitors. Rod Young shot from the left, and his low shot was hit with pinpoint accuracy into the bottom corner. Surprisingly, Ware were back in the game against the run of play.

Their rejuvenation didn’t last long, as Junior Dadson scored his second minutes later. A striker deflected off Alex Read and landed kindly in Dadson’s path. The winger composed himself before smashing the shot into the back of the net to seal the win.
