A familiar face around the club over the last season, Cav Clarke predominantly featured for the Hawks as a striker, seeing some success as he scored 8 goals and made 2 assists in 22 appearances for the Hawks.
However, Cav received bad news as he was informed he would not be able to play competitive football again due to requiring a hip replacement which would make the risk of playing again simply too high.
Despite this bad news, we are delighted that Cav has decided to remain with us for this upcoming season; he is a positive figure in the dressing room and, to the possible surprise of those who watched him play upfront for us, Cav holds a lot of goalkeeping pedigree.
Cav was a goalkeeper for the majority of his career, before opting for a position change 3 years ago at Wormley Rovers and has since seen success playing up-top. However, with the position of Goalkeeping Coach opening up at the club, Cav took the opportunity and will be part of the club for another season.
We wish him the best of luck in his role.
