After a long 7 months away from football, we are finally beginning to return to normality, with pre-season fixtures scheduled and hard work underway to recruit players for the upcoming season. We have also recruited a great team of staff that we hope will lead us to success this season.
Danny Chapman - First Team Manager
Many of you will be familiar with Danny Chapman, who has managed the Hawks for over 13 years over two separate spells. He will continue to manage the club for the forthcoming season.
As a player, Chapman made over 200 appearances for the club between 2003 and 2010. In 2011, he took over as first team manager, leading the club to promotion to the Isthmian Premier League in the 2015/16 season before taking a break in January 2020. Chapman became first team manager once again in December 2020 and has been so ever since.
Leon Antoine - Assistant Manager:
Leon has played for the Hawks in five separate spells, and was a member of the 2015/16 playoff winning side. After retiring, he is now returning in a different role as assistant manager to Danny Chapman this season. He is an experienced, strongly built front runner who played as a striker, but could also play in midfield or defence.
He previously played for Chalfont St Peter, Stansted, Leyton, Maldon Town, Aveley, Tilbury, Boreham Wood, Redbridge, Canvey Island, Braintree Town, AFC Hornchurch, Billericay Town, Heybridge Swifts, Bishop’s Stortford, Brentwood Town and Maldon & Tiptree, Witham Town and Enfield Town.
Graeme Butler - Head Of Player Recruitment:
Having previously worked with the reserves side, Graeme Butler will be in charge of recruiting the best new players for this season.
"There was only one club I would have ever gone back to if the opportunity arose. Massive task to supply Chappo and Leon with the goods but one I know we’ll smash to bits. " - Graeme Butler via Twitter.
Thomas Church - First Team Coach:
Tom is a young coach who has Harlow in his blood; he has been with the club since the age of 9 and has now officially been appointed as a coach.
