As a Club, we always strive to do things the ‘right way’ for the benefit of our local community, and we are delighted that this has been recognised.

The FA Charter Standard Programme is The FA’s accreditation scheme for grassroots clubs. Its goal is to raise standards in grassroots football and support the development of clubs, recognising and rewarding them for their commitment and achievements.

FA Charter Standard accreditation is awarded to clubs who have been adjudged to be well-run and sustainable and who prioritise child protection, quality coaching and implementation of the Respect Programme, and we are delighted that Harlow Town FC counts itself among those clubs.

Even during this difficult time when it hasn’t been possible for our coaches and players to be doing what they love – playing football – our coaches have been continuing their development with a number of them completing online learning courses to enhance their personal growth.

Upon receiving the accreditation, Head of Youth Development Alfie Babb was delighted. He said: “This achievement is a reflection of the high standards we set ourselves at the Club.

“We would like to say a huge thanks to our coaches who have completed the necessary courses and supported us to get to this point.

“We’re looking forward to being able to welcome our coaches and players back in person, so we can continue our progress in making Harlow Town FC a Club that the town can be proud of, with an emphasis on fun and development”.
