Two magnificent wins over title-chasing Thurrock and AFC Hornchurch within four days stretched the Hawks’ run of wins to nine matches, and have propelled Harlow up the league. Heybridge have also had two important wins in their last two matches, beating Wroxham and Cray Wanderers.
Harlow and Heybridge last met in November, with the Hawks coming away with a 3-1 win. Heybridge had just changed their management team, and although they have continued to struggle, they have now pulled themselves clear of the relegation zone.
The Swifts are currently in 20th position, with 27 points from 33 games, although their recent results prove that they cannot be taken lightly. They’ve won two, drawn one and lost three of their last six, returning seven points from a possible 18.
The incredible run of results has seen the Hawks rise up the table, and they now occupy 4th position. Just two points separate 2nd from 5th.
